Adult Permanent Passport
As of the 18th of April
2009, the Department of Home Affairs have
introduced the new format biometric passport.
This passport displays now necessary security
features. South African Passports are issued
to South African Citizens. According to
new regulation, any South African Citizen
has to leave and enter the country using
a South African Passport. Foreign passports
may be used to travel abroad.
Adult passports are valid
for 10 years and children for 5. The Department
of Home Affairs take 8 - 10 weeks to process
a permanent passport. If the client is unable
to wait this period for a passport, we are
able to issue a temporary passport which
is valid 1 year. Please note that not all
countries will accept this temporary passport.
The Department of Home Affairs maintain
that any applicant applying for a temporary
passport needs to apply for a permanent
one at the same time.
Paperwork is done telephonically,
and an appointment scheduled to meet us
at the Department of Home Affairs in Umgeni
Road for fingerprinting and signatures.
In the case of a childs application, the
two photographs are verified by a Passport
Official in the Passport Section where both
parents and the child need to make themselves
available for verification.

· Consent from biological parents
· Passports take 8 - 10 weeks
to process. We do not guarantee this
period.

EMERGENCY
TRAVEL CERTIFICATES
This certificate is valid for 9 months
and can only be used for a single trip,
i.e. once in and out of an African country.

JUMBO

This passport has more pages than the standard
issue of only 32 pages.

BRITISH
PASSPORTS
We offer renewals as well
as first time applications for children
and adults.
Children born after the
01st of January 1983 qualify directly if
either their mother or the father were born
in the UK. If this is not the case, but
the child's Grand Parents were born in the
UK and the child's mother or father lived
and / or worked in the UK for 3 consecutive
years, the parents need to apply for a UK
Registration for the child before his /
her 1st birthday. Once the child is registered
as a British Citizen, we then apply for
the child's British passport.
As of the 12th of May 2006,
all British passports are now issued as
British Biometric Passports and have resulted
in an increase in the price of the passports.
All passports take 4 - 5 weeks to process.
All original documentation needs to be submitted.
If a passport is required urgently, there
is a 4 week express service whereby the
application and supporting original documentation
is couriered to Pretoria, where upon it
is couriered back to our offices 4 weeks
later. This express service costs an additional
R 295.00

IRISH
PASSPORTS

to an Irish-born parent.
